Study and prototyping of a cognitive-type prototype platform for indexing, classification, analysis, and searching of textual and document content

The R&S project made it possible to develop a prototypal software platform in a cloud environment to simplify and improve the creation, training, and management of AI algorithms on unstructured data, with a particular focus on managing text in semantic and natural language contexts. This aimed to implement tailored solutions within specific project contracts, offering significant advantages over current approaches, such as the use of pre-constructed work models to assemble a kit of specialized components aimed at tasks like indexing, classification, search, processing, extraction, and analysis, which can operate in standardized and replicable work chains.

Objectives

The primary goal of the project was to achieve the prototyping of an integrated software platform for the development of machine learning, indexing, and text data analysis solutions, accessible through different operational contexts — both more “traditional” and conversational ones. This was made possible through an industrial research component carried out in collaboration with the University of Bologna and the Marche Polytechnic University, aimed at the engineering of tools, the development and optimization of advanced algorithms, and the integration of third-party AI solutions.

Results

The project was divided into four Realization Objectives,all of which were achieved and together constitute the prototype cloud software platform.
