The University of Siena, one of the oldest universities in Europe, had the following needs:

• Activate a videoconferencing and recording service for the Digital Open Days in a short time.
• Receive technical advice and support during the event.
• Implement a dedicated Cloud infrastructure for individual departments.

Dinova provided:

• Rapid activation of Google Meet services to ensure smooth videoconferencing and event recording.
• Real-time technical advice to maximize the effectiveness of the features used.
• Design and implementation of a tailored Cloud infrastructure to facilitate content streaming across different departments.

During the pandemic, the University of Siena needed to organize the Digital Open Days, a fully virtual event. The challenge was to ensure, in a very short time, the continuity of interaction with students and prospective enrollees through a reliable videoconferencing and recording system that was also scalable and adaptable to the various departments.

Dinova supported the University in two main ways:

• Tattica: fornendo consulenza tecnica in tempo reale sull’uso di Google Meet, consentendo all’ateneo di gestire con efficacia le videoconferenze e le registrazioni durante i Digital Open Days.
• Strategica: progettando e implementando un’infrastruttura Cloud dedicata per i singoli dipartimenti, che ha garantito lo streaming dei contenuti e posto le basi per una digitalizzazione più ampia e sostenibile.

Thanks to this initiative, the University was able to host a successful virtual event, strengthening its leading role in academic digitalization.
