Thun, a leading company in the sale of collectibles and furniture accessories, needed:

Thun aimed to enhance internal company collaboration through innovative yet non-disruptive tools. It was essential to optimize document creation, storage, and retrieval, as well as task planning, while maintaining continuity with existing business processes.

The main challenge was to find a solution that could support the company’s growth and meet its specific needs for storage and task management, without disrupting the existing operational methods.

The partnership with Dinova dates back to Thun’s migration to Google Cloud, which enabled the company to use the world’s most efficient email system and a comprehensive Enterprise Workspace. However, due to specific needs in document storage and task organization, a solution had to be designed to ensure continuity with the past, respecting the set of internal processes that could not be completely overhauled.

Thun needed to maintain a customized structure that would allow it to carry out processes in ways unique to the company, without sacrificing the benefits of Google Workspace.

To meet these needs, one of the major advantages of Google Cloud was leveraged — the ability to use APIs to integrate specific functions into a customized web application. In Thun’s case, where the goal was primarily to manage archiving-related processes and guide users toward specific objectives, the application — called Thun World — enhanced an open file system like Drive by adding the following features.

The main features of Thun World include:

• Classification of information: custom labels to organize and speed up document search.
• Instant document creation: use of predefined corporate templates for more efficient document production.
• Task planning: creation of events and tasks directly from documents, with assignment to colleagues and deadline management.

The project was carried out together step by step following the Agile methodology, which made the transition from a traditional ecosystem to an innovative work environment simple and effective. The custom-developed solution made it possible to preserve the process background while introducing innovation through improved collaboration tools.

This was made possible thanks to continuous collaboration with Thun’s people, who, together with Dinova’s specialists, helped improve and refine the application throughout the design and development phases. This methodology enabled a development process with frequent releases of intermediate versions of the application and ongoing feedback collection.

The project involved an interview-based approach: Dinova’s experts visited Thun’s offices several times to meet with people from different departments. The goal was to identify the perceived issues in using the old system and the improvements users desired to perform their specific functions more effectively.

A path of continuous innovation and co-design to improve people's work

Dinova accompanied Thun on a path of incremental innovation, developing a solution that perfectly integrates the advantages of Google Workspace with the company's specific needs.

The project leveraged the strengths of the previous system, improving and enhancing them with an intuitive, modern, and user-friendly platform. Thanks to the flexibility of Google Cloud technologies and Dinova's collaborative approach, Thun achieved:
